As long as they can't be together, that's a scenario I would like. It's definitely Buffy's turn to do the chasing.
I am more than happy with Season 9, mostly because Spike has a prominent role and it makes me of the happy :)
Spike is pretty much the only reason I'm reading. I only started S8 when he returned, and if he leaves, I'll probably stop reading, as he's the only one still in-character (with the TV show) enough for my liking.
