Dawn's repeated "yes, buts" were devious indeed. Perhaps she didn't need to, but it's sweet that she did. Probably. Buffy finally got it, Spike's always known it, so inserting a movie night might normalize things, but it also delays the moment of truth. The truth being "Buffy loves Spike and no arguments you infuriating vampire!"
I'm looking forward to the epilogue, wherein Spike takes Buffy on board for a trip up to Mount Tam or the top of Half Dome or someplace for a romantic moonlit outing...
