I really hope the series finale has a happy ending and doesn't kill one or both of them off like so many shows seem to do to their characters these days.
Yesterday I ran across a description of a possible finale ep that I really, really liked. Basically, the big whatever drama gets wrapped up in the second-to-last ep, and the last ep is just the boys doing a normal case on the road and being comfortable with each other and at least starting to say all the things they need to say to get right with each other and the world. Quiet, contemplative, peaceful.
I'm pretty sure we'll never get such a thing. But that's what I want now.
