+ For some reason I don't really care for that scene where Damon saves Elena? It's weird, EVERYONE LOVES IT, but I'm kind of ehhhh. (Maybe I don't care for nice!Damon so much? lol.) AND I ALWAYS AGREE. + The reveal of Stefan saving Elena's life in that accident actually works for me A LOT. It totally explains why Elena chooses (from here on) to put all her trust in him, even despite his shady actions recently. Stefan being the one to ~save~ her has HUGE symbolic significance to her. + That said, yeah, the stalking aspect grates. Not so much in itself (what you said, I totally understand why Stefan would investigate Elena because of the Katherine connection), but the fact that he goes out of his way to strike up a relationship with her while knowing practically everything about her personal life. Gross emotional power imbalance. BAD STEFAN. NO COOKIE. + Damon killing Bree doesn't "bother" me either, though it's heinous, obviously. It only bothers me insofar as he's able to get away with it. No doubt Elena would regret saving his life if she knew. + I’m guessing that the reveal about Lexi’s boyfriend becoming a vampire is setting the stage for Elena wondering if Stefan will expect her to (or if she’ll eventually want to) someday become a vampire. -- You kinda have to wait a while for this to get brought up at all. + Haha, you definitely like the show a lot better than I did at this stage! Took me way longer to get hooked.
