Agreed on how it isn't actually all that unrealistic a plotline (which doesn't make it any less devastating and makes it only marginally easier to swallow, *sigh*). It makes me wonder if Joss wanted to do something like that on the show and couldn't because the special effects would have been too difficult. Yeah,the way DH is sensationalizing the arc is absurdly poor taste. :/
