Yeah! I hadn't realized that before because Amber Benson's role was relatively subdued and there were no overt connections to BtVS as there were here. I'm really glad McNab accepted the role because according to the Wiki on this article (which is quite interesting to read!), she'd purposely steered clear of additional vampire roles in the past. She's an underrated actress. I would love to see her in more mainstream things.
I don't think he's very good at distrust
Which is interesting to me considering how untrustworthy he is. He makes his way in life by lying- you'd think it would come naturally in all respects. Maybe that's the reason, though; he lies so much to get hunting done that he's automatically honest when it's an option, sort of as penance.
Fortunately, this storytelling weakness doesn't last too much longer.
