I'm very interested now in seeing him in a different role to see if I like him just as much, because there are definitely some actors who are just perfectly suited for a role but don't impress me in anything else they do. I doubt he's one of those, but I'm still curious. I suppose I could hunt down a Gilmore Girls episode...
