:D That makes sense, too. That's normally how I view shows, and truthfully, I don't usually fantasize about Spike either (cause my thought process is literally: "If he were with me, he wouldn't be with Buffy, and that's not okay!"). But if it's a one-time thing with permission all around...

Ooh, Anya. I've never had much desire to experiment on the other side of the Quidditch pitch, but I think I'd make an exception for her.

Hey, I'm totally in favor of hot wish fulfillment! For example, if BUFFY were having a one-time-only threesome, I'd be cheering her on. Or Faith, or... anyway, I can hardly begrudge anyone else some fantasy enjoyment. ;)

In the real world? No, I'm not a threesome type person. I may occasionally enjoy OT3 fic in fandom, but I can't see myself ever doing that in real life. Of course, I can't see myself have sex period with anyone I'm not in a serious, committed relationship with (and that's just on my personality level; add in my religious beliefs and I'm waiting till I get married), so I wouldn't even be with Spike by himself if we weren't actually together. The way I feel about things in fandom is very different than the way I'd act in real life!

On the other hand, if Buffy decided she wanted both of the boys, I'd be like, "GO GET YOU SOME OF THAT, GIRLFRIEND." Because I just want her to be haaaaappy.

I don't know if I could do it in real life either. Maybe if there were another man that my boyfriend/husband also happened to like in a purely physical way? But that's really just a 'never say never' scenario, and I'd feel guilty because I don't think I'd be willing to do an OT3 with another woman for my SO's sake in return (and this introspection is getting odd...).

Because I just want her to be haaaaappy.

I've never fantasized about having sex with Spike, or Angel, or any of the characters, as myself. It's more like fantasizing about having sex with Spike as Buffy, not as myself.

I definitely know what you mean about fantasizing as Buffy versus as yourself. There are some fictional characters I definitely want for myself, but Spike, no matter how much I love him and drool over admire his looks, isn't really one of them; I just want him to be with Buffy! I'd be sad if he were with me instead of her.
