Harry! My true love!

a) Though I go back and forth, Ron/Hermione is usually a go for me; Neville/Luna; Bill/Fleur
b) Harry & Ron & Hermione (Perfect OT3 is Perfect), Lily & Snape, Dumbledore & Harry
c) Perhaps if we had seen more of Harry/Ginny I would enjoy it more, b/c while part of my dislike is definitely grounded in the cliche-ness of it all (and as my high school friends often said, I'm also jealous and therefore petty), I think I would have liked it more if the execution had been better rounded.

I also love the idea of Rose/Scorpius, but I can see why that has no room in canon. :)

I totally agree about Ginny--she just wasn't developed enough, and her relationship with Harry definitely wasn't. I've pretty much decided that JKR is bad at writing romance.

I definitely love Rose/Scorpius.

I've pretty much decided that JKR is bad at writing romance.

Yeah. It's funny, though, b/c while she may be bad at the long-term arcs, I think she is good at the little details. For example, though I can't stand Harry/Ginny, I do think his crush on her in HBP is portrayed well (dreams, embarrassed around Ron, feeling violent toward Dean, etc.; the 'monster' roaring in his chest cracks me up), and even though I don't like Harry/Cho as an endgame OTP by any means, I thought it was realistically handled. He's so adorable in POA and GOF when he likes her, and I could definitely relate to him.

I love the nuances with Ron/Hermione in DH, such as Harry seeing their hands close together, like they'd fallen asleep holding them. Almost all of the intimate romantic scenes feel real to me, which makes it even more frustrating when the overall ship doesn't.

I think the worst romance is Lupin/Tonks. That came out of nowhere.

c) I wish Mal/Inara had been executed differently, and I wish we'd seen more River & Jayne period.

Truth. But they get quite overshadowed by Fred/Wes, in fandom which bugs me. I'll take Fred/Gunn and Wes/Lilah over Fred/Wes any day.
